General Guidelines
      Applications must be submitted with all supporting documentation by October 17, 2025, to be considered for accreditation/re-accreditation funding. BCSP staff will review applications. Should questions arise or further documentation be necessary, applicants must respond to inquiries in a timely manner to continue the review process.   

BCSP will award up to 20 grants (up to $5,000 each) to the first 20 fully completed and eligible applications received. Once 20 eligible applications have been submitted, submissions will close. 

All applicants will be notified via the email provided in the Submittable platform no later than November 28, 2025. If this date should change, applicants will be contacted in a timely manner.

Funding Guidelines
Phase 1 Funding (New Accreditation Review & Request for Evaluation for an existing accreditation: The first payment of up to $5,000 will be made upon submission of the completed ABET/AABI application and a dated letter from ABET/AABI showing that the program is enrolled in the initial steps of the 18-month accreditation process or has applied for a Request for Evaluation of an existing accreditation.

Phase 2 Funding (Confirmation of Accreditation): The second payment of up to $5,000 is for newly accredited programs and those that have achieved re-accreditation. It requires the submission of a dated letter from ABET/AABI confirming your program's current accreditation status.
 

 Submission Criteria

1. To apply for the ABET/AABI Contribution grant, the program must be a current BCSP Qualified Academic Program (QAP) and provide the appropriate ABET/AABI documentation.
2. If the university has multiple QAPs, separate applications must be submitted for each program. 
3. This funding opportunity only pays for direct ABET/AABI accreditation costs, up to $5000, for fees listed on the ABET/AABI websites: ABET (https://www.abet.org/accreditation/cost-of-accreditation/); AABI (https://www.aabi.aero/accreditation/steps-to-accreditation/). Approval of requested expenses is at the sole discretion of BCSP.
